Transcend Trail Academy- Mountain Bike / MTB Skills Glentress / 7 Stanes

“Before spending time with the guys from Transcend I was a nervous newcomer to the sport. Downhills were spent on the brakes and I invariably had to walk technical sections. The coach at Transcend took me back to basics and within a short space of time my confidence was back up to speed.”
Emma Giniff, Bolton

“I was Mountain Biking a lot with girlfriends but found that I needed new skills and the confidence to attack tougher trail obstacles. The Trailskills course opened my eyes to a few techniques and roots and downhills have never held the same fear since!”
Helen Keron, Aberdeen

“It has been a pleasure to spend time with such a knowledgeable coach and rider. The new skills I have learnt have been invaluable to me, even as a rider of some 15 years experience.”
Toby Gilbert, Stourport

“Thanks for all your effort and patience - I really enjoyed the tuition. I did get out with the bike today - but that was only to wash it!”
Alan, Edinburgh

Thanks for a cracking day last Friday. I had a great time and really feel I gained a lot from your coaching.
I appreciate you taking the time to send individualised feedback and thanks for your notes, they will be very handy.
I'm looking forwards to some practice time this weekend and will be investing in some teenager shoes soon (my wife will have a field day).”
Colin, Newcastle

Thanks for all your help and encouragement, hopefully with a bit of practice
I'll be up to one of your more advanced courses in the spring.
Dave, Aberdeenshire.

I really enjoyed the course, was good to work with you too.
I'm dying to get out and practice before i forget it all, but its been
torrential rain up here on my days off so far.
Thanks again for your help, it'll definitely make a difference to my riding and confidence.”
Jacqueline, Edinburgh

I really enjoyed last Friday, you have the patience of a saint. The other participants were good company. Thanks again for fun day.”
John, Durham

Hope everything's going well, I had an excellent time on Friday and have been that sad old git trackstanding and manualing up and down the drive way at night. Cheers “
Kenny, Stirling

“The course has been nothing short of a revelation to me! The trails, people, and coaches are first rate”
Simon Lawman, Manchester

“Before the course I was not confident in my ability to clean some of the Black sections of trail at Glentress. The Transcend course has helped me face my trail demons.”
Stuart Bell, Edinburgh

“Thanks for your tutoring skills on the course and your positive support throughout the day. I found it really interesting to know how I can move my bike around without touching the brakes! Also probably need to head in to a local town to show the general public how long I can do trackstands for at traffic lights- not sure I can make a sandwich at the same time though!
Well bye for now and catch up in the future.”
Lyn, Southern Lakes

David, many thanks for the trail notes and a very valuable day of instruction.  The weather on Helly H was atrocious so it was more survival tather than admiring the views.  I'll keep an eye on your website and have been recommending your course to my pals.
Best wishes”
Mike, Glasgow

Thank you very much for a great day on Friday. Good instructor, good company, good food and good weather. I will recommend the course to anyone wishing to improve their skills.”
Phil, Edinburgh

Hi David - many thanks for a great day!  I really enjoyed it and feel a lot more confident.  (By the way, the bit I was particularly anxious about was the haul up the hill - twice.  I had visions of fit young things streaking off into the distance and leaving me panting in their wake - so I really appreciated you very steady approach to this.) I now feel inspired to put in the homework hours and get myself to the next level! Thanks again David.”
Richard, Edinburgh

Just thought I'd drop you a line to say how much I enjoyed last Friday. I learnt a huge amount, and feel that my level of skill has improved significantly - though I found muscle groups I didn't know I had aching for a couple of days afterwards!
I think that your idea of keeping the group small is very good, it allows you to coach mixed ability groups with ease - as with ours. I did feel slightly intimidated when the others turned up on their full-sussers, see I'm even getting the jargon, but that was quickly dispelled, and I felt as ease with more experienced riders.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the course to others, you could be onto a winner, I hope so. I shall keep practicing and may well come back to you for some more coaching in a few months. Once I've mastered riding slowly, I'll want to go quicker!
Once again a very enjoyable day.”
