"Thanks for course notes. The old memory isn't so good these
days so they will be handy in future as a refresher.
Thanks also for a good day on Saturday. Certainly got me thinking
about my riding what I am doing right and wrong and things to work
on. Will be out at the weekend practicing again."
Mark, darn sarf!
"I had a fantastic day and went on about it all day Sunday.
I've also managed to put some of it into practice on the road bike
which I didn't expect. I've been giving a lot more thought to my
position when cornering and braking in particular which has made
me a lot smoother.
So thanks again for a great day. You are an excellent teacher and
a real gent. You should insist Chris joins every group."
Stephen, Bradford
"Thankyou so much for Saturday. I had a brilliant day, and
learnt so much. You were an inspiration, I am now trying to ride
everywhere with less brute force and more finesse!!
I've got two weeks off work at the moment, so have been out everyday
practising my rear-wheel lifts. After I've got the hang of bunny
hops I'll go back to learning how to manual indefinitely!
Thanks once again, your course encouraged me by showing me that
I haven't just been teaching myself bad habits, and by showing me
where I should be aiming, as well as loads of handy tips.
Cheers mate,"
Dangerous Dave, Kent
"Overall, I feel incredibly motivated by what on the face
of it sounds like a very basic day out when you try to explain what
we did.
However, the amount I learnt just in the slow race about grip, steering
and balance was quite a revelation.
Manualing was a huge boost, I was amazed I did it, and now have
to practice doing it at will.
Doing a wheelie is something I expect a 10 year old to do, and now
I can! Not sure how cool I look at 39 riding up and down the street!
Quite a lot of bad skills need re-learning, but even riding round
the car park or close, I feel far more confident and in control
of the bike at slow speeds than ever before.
A very good day out.
Very well put over by you in terms of explaining skills, it is a
bit of a black art as you can see somebody do something but can't
figure out how it is done - i.e. you make a manual look effortless
and before I would not have been able to identify the stages.
Thanks once again."
Chris, Loughborough
"It was a great day, I really enjoyed it and you'll be pleased
to know I've been wheelieing around my garden most of day and I've
working on the other things too. I've attached the feedback form.
Thanks again and hopefully, once I've put the hours in, i'll be
back for the next stage.
Cheers"
Rachel, Edinburgh
"Cheers for yesterday. Didn't realise how hard we must have
worked - I was knackered last night!!! I really enjoyed your approach
to coaching and teaching and it made the whole thing seem far more
manageable and easy to comprehend. The bike is in the shop being
de-squeaked and I get it back on Friday night - so out on a practise
session on Saturday and into the hills on Sunday.
I will drop the suggestion to Pam that she may benefit from some
time with you, and see where it takes her!! Once I have had a bit
of time to get yesterday skills under my belt, I'll give you a shout
and see what is next on the coaching horizon for me.
Thanks again David. Cheers everso"

“The course has been nothing short of a revelation to me! The trails, people, and coaches are first rate”
Simon Lawman, Manchester
“Before the course I was not confident in my ability to clean some of the Black sections of trail at Glentress. The Transcend course has helped me face my trail demons.”
Stuart Bell, Edinburgh
“Thanks for your tutoring skills on the course and your positive support throughout the day. I found it really interesting to know how I can move my bike around without touching the brakes! Also probably need to head in to a local town to show the general public how long I can do trackstands for at traffic lights- not sure I can make a sandwich at the same time though!
Well bye for now and catch up in the future.” Lyn, Southern Lakes
David, many thanks for the trail notes and a very valuable day of instruction. The weather on Helly H was atrocious so it was more survival tather than admiring the views. I'll keep an eye on your website and have been recommending your course to my pals.
Best wishes” Mike, Glasgow
Thank you very much for a great day on Friday. Good instructor, good company, good food and good weather. I will recommend the course to anyone wishing to improve their skills.” Phil, Edinburgh
Hi David - many thanks for a great day! I really enjoyed it and feel a lot more confident. (By the way, the bit I was particularly anxious about was the haul up the hill - twice. I had visions of fit young things streaking off into the distance and leaving me panting in their wake - so I really appreciated you very steady approach to this.) I now feel inspired to put in the homework hours and get myself to the next level! Thanks again David.” Richard, Edinburgh
Just thought I'd drop you a line to say how much I enjoyed last Friday. I learnt a huge amount, and feel that my level of skill has improved significantly - though I found muscle groups I didn't know I had aching for a couple of days afterwards!
I think that your idea of keeping the group small is very good, it allows you to coach mixed ability groups with ease - as with ours. I did feel slightly intimidated when the others turned up on their full-sussers, see I'm even getting the jargon, but that was quickly dispelled, and I felt as ease with more experienced riders.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the course to others, you could be onto a winner, I hope so. I shall keep practicing and may well come back to you for some more coaching in a few months. Once I've mastered riding slowly, I'll want to go quicker!
Once again a very enjoyable day.”
