Trail Riding
The next step on from the Fundamentals course aimed at
Intermediate to Advanced riders who want to develop their MTB handling
skills to the next level.
The Trail Riding Course is perfect for those who are
comfortable riding all but the most daunting sections of the Red route
at any of the 7 Stanes or Glentress, and who are physically fit.
On the Trail Riding course you will be taught the following riding techniques:
• Track stands
• Manuals
• Rock steps
• Drop offs
• Jumps
Based at some of the finest trails in Europe the day
starts with a focus on core riding techniques such as Track Stands and
Manuals. The second half of the day (after a rather tasty lunch at the
Hub Café) is based at the MTB Skills Loop section of the
Glentress trails. There, we will begin to apply your newfound skills to
real trail obstacles like, Rock Steps, Drop-Offs, and Jumps.
Finally, the day is rounded off by a swift downhill cruise back to the hub for more Coffee and Cake.
